Jamie
J1 What to do when you are stuck, and the use of 'because'.
Jamie sets some angle-chasing tasks and reminds students of ways of working: remembering previous lessons, taking notes, looking back in books, talking to each other etc. When students give answers they give reasons using 'because...' without being prompted. Clearly this has been a focus of earlier lessons and Jamie praises them, making clear why he is praising them.
J2 Students demonstrate their reasoning about angles
Jamie continues to establish 'giving reasons' and also indicates that he expects 'difficult' ones from some students. It is also clear that the tasks Jamie has set allowed some students to conjecture further angle facts.
